Privacy policy.
What we collect, why, and the choices you have: written in plain language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us.
The short version
- You share information with us only when you choose to: through a form, the scheduler, or email.
- Right now this site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. When that changes at launch, this policy and a consent banner will say so first.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
- Every request about your data is read and answered by a person.
Who we are
Avad Shamar Creative ("we," "us") is the creative strategy division of Avad Shamar Co., rooted in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This policy covers avadshamarcreative.com and explains what information moves through this website, why, and what you can do about it.
What you share with us
Everything we hold, you gave us on purpose. There are four routes:
- The project intake (Start Your Project), your name, email, organization and its type, what you're building, a starting point, an investment range, and a timeline, plus optional details like your role and how you found us.
- The contact form (Contact), your name, email, a reason for writing, and your message.
- The scheduler, when you book a strategy conversation, the booking tool collects your name, email, and chosen time. Booking runs through our client portal at clients.brndmee.com.
- Email, whatever you choose to include when you write to us.
- The Lagniappe menu (Lagniappe), your name, email, organization, notes, and the items you order. Payment happens on Stripe's pages, not ours: we never see your card number. Stripe shares back your name, email, the items, and the amount so we can deliver the work.
Forms on this site are delivered by Formspree, which passes each submission to our inbox and keeps a copy under its own privacy policy.
What this site does in your browser
Less than you'd expect from an agency site.
- No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party pixels. If that changes, this page and a consent notice will say so first.
- Fonts are self-hosted, so pages load without calling third-party font servers.
- A little local storage, all of it on your device: a dismissed announcement bar (about 30 days), a half-finished project intake so you can come back to it, and the items in a Lagniappe order. Nothing in local storage is transmitted to us until you submit.
How we use what you share
- To reply to your inquiry with a genuine read of your situation.
- To prepare a recommendation and hold the strategy conversation you asked for.
- To carry out an engagement and keep the records our agreements require.
- To send The Notes, our newsletter: only if you subscribed, with an unsubscribe link in every issue. The address is held by Formspree until each issue is sent.
Who we share it with
We never sell, rent, or trade your information. It moves only to:
- Service providers that run the practice, each bound by its own privacy obligations: Cloudflare (hosting), Formspree (forms), Stripe (payments), our client portal at clients.brndmee.com (scheduling and invoices), and our email provider.
- Authorities, if the law genuinely requires it.
- A successor entity if the practice's legal structure changes: under this same policy.
Records from the BrandMEE era
Avad Shamar Creative is the evolution of BrandMEE: same founder, same obligations. Client records and agreements made in the BrandMEE era continue under this policy with the same care. The name changed; our responsibility to you didn't. Read the story.
How long we keep it
As long as the conversation or engagement needs it, and as long as the law requires for business records like agreements and invoices. When neither applies, we delete it. You can also ask us to: see below.
Your choices
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Unsubscribe from anything, anytime.
Write to [email protected]. A person reads it, and a person answers.
Children
This site is built for a professional audience and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them; if you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes get flagged plainly at the top: no silent edits.
Contact
[email protected], or the contact page.
What you share stays between us.
That's the policy in one line. If you have questions about the rest of it, ask: a person will answer.
